BIO:
“Deep Sea Fisherman'' was the verdict delivered by AI careers advice at school, after I’d answered a series of penetrating multiple choice questions. Growing up in an entirely landlocked region of the UK, I thought I may need to seek alternative employment.
I love colour, sound and telling stories (both true and untrue), so a career in making movies seemed like a good fit. After finishing film school (BA Documentary Film and TV) this profession has taken me all over the world and I have met so many interesting people engaged in brave, intelligent and fantastical endeavors.
It has been a privilege to tell their stories through my documentary and commercial projects. The call of the fishing fleet has been left unanswered, though if I’m honest, I still habour some Deep Sea ambitions!
Experience:
A multi-skilled filmmaker, I specialise in the end-to-end production of branded and documentary film projects.
I have worked as a cinematographer and video producer for 12 years. Roles have included managing an independent production company, working as an assistant producer for reality TV and shooting projects as a freelance lighting camera operator. I have also worked as a senior producer and cinematographer at a Public Relations Agency.
I have a deep appreciation for the effective management of Health, Safety and Environmental hazards on set and hold an Environmental Management Certificate through NEBOSH and multiple qualifications in Film and TV specific Health and Safety. Further specialisms include IRATA Rope Access and Medium Risk Confined Space.
I hold a current A2CofC certificate from the Civil Aviation Authority (Unmanned Aircraft System / Camera Drone). I provide fully insured close-contact, ‘First Person View’ and aerial filming services.
If you have a film project you would like to discuss, or want to find out more about how I can contribute to existing production workflows, please get in touch.
